We had a very meaningful gathering today as a school community to show gratitude for the beautiful land and area we live on; to honour those who have survived Residential Schools; to talk about what truth means and what reconciliation means to us. We heard an oral story and learned a song from our teacher -librarian Ms. Honey, and worked together to create feathers- a symbol of peace and hope. It was a wonderful day!
Many of us worked together to create a feather! Reflecting in Gr 1Listening carefully to Ms. HoneyHearing a familiar song- making a connection to the perseverance and hope demonstrated by the Itsy Bitsy Spider
