Hello, Bastion Families!! With the sunshine and warm weather forecast for this week, we’re looking forward to getting the students outside to exercise their bodies and their brains.
So many students and staff members participated in Creative Hair Day, on April 1st. The students had so much fun showing how creative they could be with different hairstyles, colours, and interesting accessories. Some parents must have gotten up very early to help their children with some amazingly creative hair! Here is a photo of some of our Creative Hair Day participants.

Here’s what’s happening this week at Bastion Elementary…

SMS Grade 5 Scout Visit. Two of our Grade 5 students will act as “scouts” and visit Shuswap Middle School, along with some Grade 5 students from other Salmon Arm schools. The “scouts” will have a chance to explore SMS, take some pictures and ask some questions. Our “scouts” will then have a chance to report back to their Grade 5 peers, about what they learned during this initial visit to SMS. This is just the starting point, to help our Grade 5s have a successful transition to Shuswap Middle School.
