We’ve made it to the final week before Spring Break. The students and staff members have been working very hard over the last couple of months, and everyone deserves a wonderful Spring Break. For all of our students’ families who are traveling over the break, please have a wonderful and safe holiday!
Monday, March 9th
Boys’ Basketball Practice. The Grade 5 boys’ basketball team will be having their final practice from 2:05 – 3:30. Mr. Menzies will be away, so Monsieur Mueller will run the practice.
Tuesday, March 10th
Division 2 Readers’ Theatre. Ms. Mitchell and Mrs. Kehl’s class have been working very hard to prepare for their class Readers’ Theatre performance. The students’ parents are invited to come and watch the performance at 10:30. It’s been pretty neat watching all the students create the set and many of their costumes and props!
Wednesday, March 11th
The Maple Man Presentation. The Maple Man, a French cultural presenter, will be visiting Bastion and presenting to all of our students. The first two sessions will be presented in French, our French Immersion students, and the final session will be presented in English for all of our English students. Field Trip to Boston Pizza. Mme Genevieve’s students will be going on a field trip to Boston Pizza. The students will learn about food safety, a bit about the restaurant business, and of course… they will each get to make their own pizza!!
Grade 5 Boys’ Basketball Jamboree. Both of our boys’ basketball teams will be playing in a year-end jamboree at Kings Christian School from 3:30 – 6:00. Good luck boys and remember to show excellent Bobcat sportsmanship!!
Thursday, March 12th
Fun Food Day. For those students who ordered pizza or chicken nuggets, they will enjoy their Fun Food at Lunch.
Grade 5 Girls’ Basketball Jamboree. Both of our girls’ basketball teams will have a chance to play in a round robin jamboree at Shuswap Middle School. The games will begin at 2:30. Have fun girls and show that Bobcat pride!!
Friday, March 13th
Last Day Before Spring Break. We hope everyone has a wonderful day, as we head into the two week Spring Break. School is back in session on Monday, March 30th.
Purdy’s Orders are Due. Please ensure all orders for the Purdy’s fundraiser are submitted by Friday, March 13th. Later orders will not be accepted, as the school-wide order has to be submitted on the 13th in order for the items to arrive on time. Thank you for your support!
