Here’s what the Bastion Bobcats are up to this week:

Monday, November 25thd798c2673f6d1be0bbdfa27b8b0ba80e1e846c43
Bastion Bobcat Clothing. Families should have received an email, last week, about ordering Bastion Bobcat clothing. Order can be made by handing in the order form, with payment, to the main office or ordering through the online store (link sent out with email). We have samples and sizes available. Student samples will be on display in the hall, and student leaders will be able to help with sizing at Lunch (11:20 – 11:50) and after school (2:05 – 2:35).
PAC Meeting. Our November PAC meeting will take place in the Music Room, and babysitting will be provided. Feel free to join us!

Tuesday, November 26th
Terrific Tuesday. We hope all of our students and staff members have a Terrific Tuesday!

Wednesday, November 27th
Scientists in the Classroom. Our Grade 4/5 students will have the opportunity to participate in a presentation called “Fooling the Brain” by Dr. Mark Holder, who has a background in neuroscience. Dr. Holder will have the students participate in various illusions that fool the brain, and he will talk about his research studying language in dolphins. This will be a great connection to the body systems curriculum the students have recently been learning about.
Family Movie Night. On Wednesday, November 27th, the Grade 4 and 5 students will be hosting a Family Movie Night. This fundraiser will help support the students’ goal of raising money for a year-end field trip. Toy Story 4 will start right at 6:00 pm, with doors opening at 5:30. Admission to the movie will be $2 per person, with popcorn and water for sale. There will be a “Best Seats in the House” draw! Please bring a donation to the food bank, to be entered into the draw. Please keep in mind, this event is a Family Movie Night – all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Thursday, November 28th
Field Trip to Boston Pizza.
Mme van Varseveld’s class will be heading to Boston Pizza to learn about community businesses, food safety and how to make your own pizza. This is always a memorable field trip for the class! Let’s see if this year’s class will make a pizza for Mr. Menzies!!

Friday, November 29th
Twin Day.
Our first school Spirit Day will take place on Friday and all our students and staff will be invited to find a friend who can dress up as a twin!
Bobcat Clothing Orders Close. We just had a one week window to order clothing, so families could order and receive clothing before Christmas. With November 29th being the deadline, clothing should (fingers crossed!) be ready to distribute to families during the week of Dec. 16th.
